The Epic Tale
Long ago, the vast Internet landscape was unjustly ruled by Internet Explorer. Websites were table-based and ridden with flash, their designs a mere afterthought. One man boldly set out on an epic journey with the intent to convince the masses to take websites seriously. Wielding nothing but a computer of the Apple kind, brave Matthew the Code Poet dared to rid the Internet of bad design, one pixel at a time.
It began with a quaint home, a folding table, and two developers. They tirelessly built a client base and hand-coded websites, all whilst battling pesky feline allergies. Soon thereafter, their team grew... and so did their need for more space. Living quarters as an office became a thing of the past as they ventured to a space in which they could solely work; and work they did.
But then, tragedy struck! Hurricane Ike blasted into Houston at full force, destroying everything in its path, including the new Poetic office. Computers were dewy, couches were drenched, and the ceiling was all but non-existent. Her spirits still intact, this minor speed bump was no match to keep Poetic from delivering timely and flawless websites to her clients. Back to Matthew’s abode they went, working ever harder to preserve Lady Poetic’s reputation, whilst fighting to rebuild her post.
After a temporary setup in a dank and solemn warehouse, the office was finally back in business, better than ever, equipped with all the necessary tools to create a human-powered productivity machine. Fervent work inevitably led to more employees, more projects, and the eventual release of the proverbial floodgates. Countless businesses eagerly vied to work with Poetic, requesting exceptional websites and offering arduous coding obstacles that they knew only she could conquer. From that point on, Poetic has proven herself among peers and clients alike – site after site, year after year.
So as the story soon came to tell, not cats, nor competitors, nor hurricanes can discourage the small but powerful team of creatives at Poetic from becoming a Web superpower. Some might say Poetic’s mission of delivering beautiful sites has been completed; but if you ask them, they’ll claim their journey has just begun.
